Upcycle: Plastic Soda Bottles

Next time you go to toss your Pepsi bottle in the trash, consider this: The average plastic bottle takes 450 years to degrade. Instead, give your old plastic soda bottles a new lease on life.
1) Make A Funnel. Set your bottle on a table vertically, then cut it in half right around the diameter of the bottle. Turn the top half upside down, unscrew the top, and you have a funnel.

I love, love the greenhouses/(houses in tropical countries) I've seen built out of multiple soda bottles. Only one problem, no one has really overextended their explanation of how they make the connections, in essence to be sturdy (with our winds I can see mine being blown miles away, hehe) Hopefully an upcycler will post them soon. I love the idea of a clear greenhouse with the bottles. Oh & one other type of house to look for on youtube are those using the bottles as foundations & then doing a mud type adobe over them...win, win.

I cut milk bottles and use them for a scoop. I am always misplacing them and this way, I can leave in each container for soil etc. Plastic soda bottles, I get from the recycling place and use for funnels and hot houses for seedlings. I am worried about the mess we are making of our world, but also am on SS and don't have money to buy a lot of things so I recycle. My grandmother always said"Use it, reuse it and reuse again, then throw away. She lived during the depression and this was the way for someone without much had to live.
