DIY Baby / Toddler Swing

Last Summer, my little man was in need of a swing. He had, had a swing and loved it but after a year of being out in the elements it had started to perish. I was no longer keen to go down the plastic route again and was after a more robust, long term option. It was to time for a bit of DIY.
This DIY swing is perfect - bright, colourful, fun, safe and easy to make too, and it is great for both babies (just pop a cushion behind them) and toddlers.
If you have a bit of sewing knowledge and DIY know how this is a fairly simple project but the tutorial itself is lengthy so, to find out how to make your own with step by step instructions, follow the link below to my blog.
Aside from the actual materials to make the swing, (all of which you will be able to get from your local sewing and hardware store); the tools for this project are ones you are likely to have, or be able to get your hands on - sewing machine, hand saw and drill. You can always head down the more technical route and use a drop saw and drill press as hubby decided too.
I had so much fun project with this project, best part is watching how much fun and enjoyment my little man gets out of it. Throughout summer we spend most afternoons down in the garden - swinging.
