Magical Tranformations - A Pop Bottle Recycle

Oh I am so excited to share my latest creation. As part of the Creative Challenge, I cut up, painted and glitterized an empty plastic pop bottle. I'm not sure what to call it. It isn't a trinket box because it isn't a box. But it is a magical transformation.
I think it turned out quite nicely. It`s so pretty. What princess room would be complete without it?
Supplies

Empty soda pop bottle

Sharp blade

Scissors

Primer and paint

Glue gun

Glue

Glitter

Broken jewelry, odds and ends
I started by spray painting the bottle with a grey primer.

once the primer dried I cut the bottle in half with a knife.

Using the scissors, I trimmed each half down even more, removing the straight part.

Still using the scissors, I cut out the rounded edge of the bottle top. It wasn't as hard as I originally imagined it to be.

Paint the bottle top and bottom contrasting colours so that the scalloped edge is shows up easily.

Add glue glitter and sprinkle glitter and more glitter. And more glitter.

Trim the scalloped edge of the bottle top with sequins and jewel stickers.

Add glue with the glue gun to the lip of the bottle to disguise it and add more jewel stickers.
My daughter has a nice collection of odds and ends. She let me use the turquoise piece which you can see at the top of my bottle. It was from an old perfume bottle and it fit perfectly.

I topped it all off with a diamond shaped bead.
It looked a little naked so I searched through my daughters stash and found some broken jewelry. I wired a couple of pieces together and wrapped it around the top of the bottle.
My daughter, Christina and I had fun making these magical creations.

Christina made this awesome purple and black glittered bottle topped off with a golden crown and wrapped in ribbon.
