This week, I'm going to make a turkey from mittens/gloves. With Thanksgiving just next week, I figured that this would be a fun way to add a bit of decoration to our table. I hope you like it!! Have a blessed day, and please be sure to head over to my blog and comment on the actual post. Thanks!
NOTE: Let me apologize for calling them mittens. Growing up on the West Coast, we never really had to wear them, and we've always thought of gloves and mittens the same way. For those that have been disrespectful and trash talking about this, please think about what you are doing. Thank you!
I started with stuffing one of the gloves with polyester fill.
I then cut the fingers off of the other glove, leaving the thumb.
Next, I cut the fingers off of the other glove and stuffed the thumb and half of the hand.
I then cut out some pieces for the head, and glued on some google eyes. I found a little beak in my leftover craft supplies and just decided to use that (I love recycling). You can add anything else that you like to personalize it.
Here's the finished product - hope you like it!!

My area calls any hand covering with separated fingers and thumb is a glove and any covering for hands that all the fingers are together in one opening is a mitten. The glove idea is very cute and looks easy to do. Would make a cute centerpiece. You asked what I would do different and that would be to glue felt over the feet portion so wouldnt have to do the needle work. The needle work looks better but the glued felt is faster.
