New Look for an Old Steamer Trunk

I started with an old steamer trunk. Nothing special. It was a little worn, so I painted it with leftover black paint and added red/white stripes with frog tape. The best part was covering it in new travel stickers that I aged with coffee to look old and then applied with Mod Podge. I couldn't be happier with the end results. Wanna see more? My finished trunk with awesome stripes and hotel stickers.
Pretty cool vintage trunk.
Love the H M K on the side , but hated to paint over it.
After taping off everything that wouldn't be painted, I sprayed the center white.
I wrapped the center wiht 2 strips of frog tape and sprayed white over them to minimize bleed through.
I painted the center red, and the rest of the trunk black latex.
Vintage hotel labels from Louis Vuitton.
I printed my labels on paper and sprayed them with coffee to age them.
Side view of the finished trunk.

love the trunk . I also did a few of them myself. One for a friend who was into music. I covered it in his favorite sheet music. he loved it. The trunk shown here I did for myself. I painted a trompe l'oeil tiger skin and made the body of the trunk faux wood planks with gold hinges and locks. The original trunk was blue with metal clasps and hinges.

Cool steamer, do you have any way to do a steamer like the one in this page? http://eco-dumpster.com/junk-removal-estate-liquidation/ It's larger, do you think the same process would work? I found it at an estate liquidation.
