Mother's Ironing Board

I grew up in a family of twelve (one deceased), six boys and six girls. I can still hear my mother's voice giving instructions how to iron my brother's shirts. Today, that same ironing board is hanging on the wall of our laundry.

The number twelve is a tribute to my mother. My parents had thirteen (one deceased) children but we grew up as six boys and six girls.
Even the back of the ironing board has an art of its own!

I have one and plan to use mine over a door as a unique shelf ( with bottom/legs removed).

My mom's ironing board hangs in my craftroom! It is a metal one...my hubby took the legs off & I painted it red. It is the perfect "pegboard" for craft items.
