DIY Peppermint Vanilla Sugar Scrub

I love making my own bath and beauty products, and even better, I love to make some to give as gifts. Sugar scrubs are easy make and customize, and everyone seems to like them, so I thought a peppermint vanilla scrub would be perfect for the holidays!
For almost all l of my sugar scrubs, I start out with plain old white sugar, coconut oil and pint-sized mason jars.
I mix the sugar and oil right in the jar, and then I add in the scent. If you want to make a lot of scrubs at the same time, you can mix in a larger container and then fill up individual jars.

For this scrub, I added a few drops of peppermint essential oil and a teaspoon of vanilla extract for the scent. You could also use peppermint extract, or just about any scented oil.
Then, just tie a bow around the jar and add a cute label, and your gift is ready! The other nice thing about scented sugar scrubs is that they make your bathroom smell awesome. It's like having an air freshener and bath product in one package!

A wonderful Christmas gift! And great for your skin! Can you crush the peppermint and actually put it in the scrub to rub on your skin?
