Grubs - Too late in this season to put Grubex down?

Bought two bags (Close to $40 EACH) but while waiting for new planted overseeding grass to grow, didn't get to put the Grubex down yet. wait till Spring now? (not sure why and another discussion, but seed took almost 3 weeks before new grass started growing, but it is full and hopefully healthy finally. Looks great, but 3 weeks to pop up?.. watered 3x daily from day of planting.)

Generally Grub control is put on the lawn in June prior to the grub emerging to feed which usually occurs in August which is why many home owners reapply the grub control at that time.I am totally basing my information for what is done here in New York which I do think it would be the same in VA. I feel if you apply this now it will truly not do one thing as grubs do not feed at this time.

@Jim G They have to take the product back if you have your receipt.

Timing is everything with grub control. Put it down between Spring and Summer when the beetles burrow down to lay eggs.

Grubs hate zoysia grass. Put is some plugs and the more plugs the quicker it will spread. It can take up to a couple of years and the cost is replaced by the cost of the pesticide.
