Are you trying to make a collage? If so you need to use Mod Podge for pictures to preserve them.

I don't know how to do this, but I would suggest that you use copies of your pictures so as not to destroy your originals!

Hi! I'd use copies as Jeanette says. I'd also consider buying a piece of safety glass with ground edges, and using that over the top as another way to go.

copy the pics on a commercial copier and use Elmers white glue, not Mod Podge I have been decoupaging for years, and this is the way to go. 28lb paper is the best. And don't have them blown up much....the larger the image, the more chance of problems. Have more than one copy of each image, just in case something goes wrong. Then varnish to protect, but try putting the sealer on an extra printed pic to see how it works. Good luck

I've done two tables successfully using Mod Podge (just make sure you give the table at least 2 coats) but do get photos printed first and hang onto originals...... good luck.

First clean and paint the table.light background so picture show up clearly. Then get either black n white copies or color. Then use mod podge or regular white glue. Paint two good coats three if there thin coats to the front of the picture. After its dried over night Then place a wet towel on tgevback of the photo. Wait ten minutes and start rubbing off paper. The picture will transfers to the glue. Now add glue to the areas you want to add them. Then. In a day or two use an acrylic water base sealer. Give it two or three coats. Enjoy! Sylvie

Get a custom-cut glass top to cover the table; glue very thin felt cushion dots to the underside of the glass; then you can put pictures under the glass for all to see. The beauty of this is you can always change the pictures you'd want to display. By seasons, by holidays, by birthdays, by visiting guests, etc... ...and you'd always be able to keep your display current and/or topical. ...and if you suddenly didn't like Cousin Clem - you could easily pull him out and flip him in the garbage ! Never be stuck with Clem, or other Clem-like people/relatives !

So it boils down to ... The glass is too expensive for you & you use alot of Windex....hence - it couldn't work for you. Otherwise, use original non-interchangeable photos and coat them over with another substance to form a permanent display. My bad on spelling. Check out top causes of house fires (disregarding cigarettes).

    A) Expense was not a stated concern. Actually not that expensive. B) Yes it could crack...and it could also prevent a house fire if a candle went array. C) Poster was willing to 'paint' over her pictures = certain permanent damage to them. .....other poster recommended using 'copies' of the original pictures; Great idea. Always can re-copy if you flood the table with Windex.
