Craft paint mixes of colors

What colors of paint can I mix to make back? I am out and need some to finish a project.

    For black? ...equal parts of blue-red-yellow

    I don't think you can mix Anything to make black. Primary colors will mix to secondary colors, and so on....but not black.

    Black is the combination of all colors so you can try mixing the 3 primary colors but the chances are you will not match the black you have.

    You/re right....if I remember correctly from my painting classes of long ago, any 3 colors combined will make some shade of brown.

    The closest to black is a deep purple but that wont match. Start with the deepest purple you can make or use then use black marker to top coat when the paint is dry.

    I use ultramarine blue and deep crimson red. This will take you to the deepest purple which when dry appears black. But it wont match the black you have previously used. Good luck. sk on elderberry

    How did you make out Barb? When mixing the three primaries blue ,red and yellow together it is necessary to have them in the right proportion, Following Elderberry's thouht if you add yellow a little at a time you can make varing shades of black. Marker fades in a short period of time, I know all too well.
