Any ideas on how to tone down the xmas exchange...smaller gifts, more meaning? I'm trying to be less commercial.

Make up some gift certificates for services or things you can do for people like babysitting, lawn mowing, house cleaning, making dinner etc.

Exchange names to fill a stocking- cap a price like $20-$25 if store bought otherwise have fun being creative with coupons, returning borrowed things or handmade etc...

I would make some items such as mason jar candles or potpurri etc. There are many things you can create for alot less money and more meaning.
