Tips for Creating a Festive and Fun Christmas Tree

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas... And we never get tired of our Snowman tree!
Over the years, I've gotten in to a real groove when creating fun and festive trees. I had a friend who lived in Southern California and worked for a company that designed and set up trees in celeb homes. (I know right? Dream job for us artsy folks.) She taught me a few tricks as did several other friends and who are definitely Christmas obsessed. Ready to hear a few?
Start with a great tree. Mix of sturdy but flexible branches. One that has a combination of solid white lights and twinkling lights is best! After the "fluff fest" which can take some time, I start with the garland. In the case of my snowman tree, kids scarves serve as my garland.
Then do something unexpected on the top...and the bottom. For this tree, it's a black top hat like snowmen wear and a snazzy pair of leopard boots!
