Does anyone have any ideas of what I can do with 4 metres of left over oak laminate kitchen work surface?

I would use it as a desk. If you have two chests of drawers or cupboards at the appropriate height, or have tressel table legs, that is all you would need. Alternatively think of using it in your laundry area, above your appliances.

I like idea of a desk from Valerie. This type of area could also be a craft/sewing area, bar (coffee/tea or alcohol), a baking prep station, enclose it into a hutch for china or other stuff, pantry, breakfast area, or a combination of these. Depending upon the layout, a combination space would be my choice because 4 metres (13 feet) is quite a large bit of space. If you can break up this "piece" you could create all kinds of combos throughout you house: kitchen island, desk, craft area, buffet, sideboard, sofa table, or just stack for storage. I am curious to know what you decide.

@Lina Kennedy thanks opal for putting it into feet lol.. lina that is quite large for a desk, but if you have a craft area it would be wonderful, two filing cabinets can be a base as can so many items even get kitchen type cabinets at a reused store and any can be painted to personalize hope this helps xx

Shelving concepts, picture frames, designs for art or signs, uses in the garden my area of expertise. If you have small children or grandchildren you could use it for playhouse flooring and counter tops for their own playhouse. Lots of ideas out there if you google 'what to do with left over laminate flooring'.
