Refinishing chairs to match my new table

I purchased a new barnwood table and the base and legs are a matte rubbed black finish. I want to finish old chairs to match the black finish. I think the legs are waxed. What finishing products should I use?

If the legs are waxed you will have to use a stripper before you can paint or stain them Research Min wax.com for all the necessary steps on refinishing furniture.

Use a chalk paint then wax them.

Thanks so much for the many responses for refinishing my chairs! At $12.00 each, I couldn't pass them up; however, then came the question to match the finish on the new table.
