DIY Industrial Pendant Light

To kick off our kitchen remodel, the first thing we did was remove the boring fluorescent light above our kitchen sink. Who likes a plain light anyway?? We decided we wanted a homemade industrial style pendant light. And this is what we came up with.
Here are the supplied needed to create a pendant light plus a couple more things.
We decided to have a wooden box to hide all the cords. We placed the cages on the wood to give us an idea of where to drill 1/4" holes for the lights to hang from.
After staining the wood we then wired all the lights together, see blog on how to wire the lights together.
We then installed the light above the kitchen sink. Here is our before and after.

In my bathrooms I have those lights ,energy twisty bulbs, above both mirrors. Is there a project I can do to pretty them up?
