Modern Play Kitchen: IKEA DUKTIG Play Kitchen Hack

I think this may be the smallest kitchen I've ever been envious of. It's essentially my dream kitchen, but about 3 feet tall.
I wanted to get my friend's daughter Olivia something special for Christmas this year.
My friend Melissa (her mom) and I kept coming across these great IKEA DUKTIG hacks on Pinterest.
Honestly they were cuter than most of the other play kitchens you can buy. So, I decided to make one.
Here's the "before" photo. I listed every product I used, size and price on my blog. Make sure to sand all the wood pieces before priming and painting them white.
I really liked this Stain & Polyurethane in one by Minwax. So much better than using contact paper that looks like wood.
All of the hardware was primed and spray painted. This is the installation of the knobs above the oven (did not come with the IKEA kitchen).
I finished the project over Thanksgiving weekend and all in spent about $165 (there are so many ways to hack this kitchen in any price point though!).

That looks beautiful! The IKEA play kitchens are definitely the most affordable and aesthetically pleasing kitchens out there. You made it even nicer. Olivia is going to be so happy!
