Bird Nest Makings Ball

Robyn
by Robyn
I posted a question about this yesterday and all of your wonderful thoughts and advice led me to make this and hang it this morning. I used a decorative ball and cut out a hole big enough for me to stuff it. I put in moss, hair, and a clean cotton stuffing from a vitamin capsule container. I hung it with a pipecleaner under the impromptu hummingbird feeder that I posted about, and I will stand back and see what happens! I had a BALL making it. (Ok, forgive me, I couldn't resist that one) :)

@Robyn Great idea. I think the ribbon would work well. If you have an old tshirt or other clothing you could also cut in thin strips. They also take dryer lint and long dry grass which you can get from a nearby field. Thanks for sharing, I will have to do the same LOL.

Thanks Gail. I read not to do dryer lint because of the chemicals, but the wispy cotton-like thing in the vitamin bottle seems good. I will have to try the tshirt idea, plenty of things like that around.
