Colorful Trees Are Expensive at the Store, Dye Them at Home for Less!

Like many people, I have kind of a "thing" for bottlebrush trees. When I saw cute, colorful ones at World Market last year, I knew I could make my own for less.
Aren't they pretty?
The purist in me likes to keep some green so I can make things like this... But the "Christmas rebel" in me likes to get a little wild ;)
To get them the right color, you need to bleach them first. (I kind of like them like this and kept a few this color.)
Then you dye them with RIT. (Be sure to check out my blog for instructions.)
And that's it! Once they dry you can have all kinds of fun with them!
Where would YOU use a dyed bottlebrush tree?
