Corner shelf for a heavy old barn window/picture holder

I have an old barn window that is very heavy that I am turning into a picture holder. I would like to hang it crossways in a corner of my kitchen, not flat against the wall because it has a unique glass ball in the center that protrudes on both sides, any suggestions how to safely hang this? I do like the industrial pipe look and it does have to be quite sturdy.

Hi Jen. Using your industrial pipe, hang it from the ceiling using your joists for support. Use flanges screwed into the joist with two of the holes, (there are 4 holes in each flange), and hang it with chain. It sounds like it will look fabulous! Share your finished piece when your done. šŸ˜€

I would also suggest hanging from a rafter in the ceiling. You could use anything sturdy...pipe, chain, large rope threaded through brass rings. You could choose anything that would match your decor.
