One day of boredom equals a whole new wall set up! (with a secret) shhhhhh...
This is where a day of boredom, an old dresser, 2 salvaged bookshelves, a saw, left over paint and varnish, took me! The dresser originally was a 7 drawer (3 small drawers over the top of 4 bigger ones), and had hideous double handles! I removed the top,sawed off the top 3 drawers with a circular saw, removed the handles, filled the holes, re-drilled new single holes, painted, varnished, and replaced the freshly painted top. Painted and added the salvaged shelves...The result....I think fabulous! I almost forgot the secret part! The backs of the top 2 drawers were removed 3/4 of the way down, the drawer fronts hinged, and a dvd player and game system, hidden inside with the cords out the back of the drawer. No more cord mess! Simply flip down the drawer front for easy access!
