I'm loving how easy this stocking was to create.
You don't need an electronic cutter to make this but it is sure helpful. I was challenged to create and Ugly Sweater Stocking by Cricut and these are my results. I've included the FREE Cricut Design Space file on my blog so all you have to do is click and cut!
I grabbed my stockings at a design store here in Salt Lake and I wanted something that could resemble the bells that my mom used to always make me wear when I was a kid. These red and green "velvet" ones were perfect.
I used Cricut's Iron-On Vinyl and created my shapes. The shapes started out just being cards but once I edited them enough and multiplied them, I was able to put them in the order that I felt looked 'ugly' enough.
The key to the shapes is making sure that you mirror image them before you cut so that you don't have backwards shapes once you iron them on.
I used black, white, gold and silver Iron-On Vinyl and I was inspired by all those classic ugly sweaters I'm seeing these days. Hop on over to my blog to check out where I bought everything and be sure to grab the FREE Design Space File.
