Black and White Christmas Song Lyric Table Runner #HomeforChristmas

For a fun and festive addition to our table the Christmas, we made a black and white table runner ... complete with the lyrics to one of our favorite Christmas songs! I'm so excited to post this as a part of a fun bloghop with Hometalk.com and CountryLiving.com. After reading this post, be sure to click the hashtag for a TON of great ideas and inspiration!
The bold black and white runner fits our Christmas decor scheme this year ... Modern with Black, White, and Green accents.
This runner was SO simple to create! We used the following:
Cut fabric to roughly 20" wide x the length of your table.
Using yardstick, measure equal spaces down each side to ensure your lines will all be relatively evenly spaced and level. I place a piece of painters tape down each side at 3" intervals.
Place yardstick across the corresponding mark on each side to create a rough 'line' to follow when painting. Next, simply grab a small paint brush and start 'writing' on your song lyrics using the yardstick as your guide.
Continue writing/painting until you run out of space!
I added some painted mason jars filled with sprigs of boxwood and tied with a black and white gingham ribbon.
I added some faux birch cone trees and some bright green reindeer moss for a pop of color. Some short mason jars filled with faux snow and a flameless candle are also set on top of the runner.
The table runner is a fun and bold addition to our Christmas decor in the dining room!
