Large shower window -how can I cover? The panes blind needs to go.

I have a window in the shower around 3ftx4 feet. What can I cover it with that will look nice? I just had the floor tile redone in there and the blind looks nasty now. It has white subway look, the tile in the tub all is white..

I have a frosted adhesive film on mine. You need the adhesive due to humidity. They have come a long way since the 70's. There are subtle patterns that won't compete with your decor (like a rain drop effect etc.)

I agree with B.Enne, frosted adhesive film. I had to laugh when you wrote that you had the floor redone and now the blind looks nasty. Isn't it strange how one new change leads to another! Get a new couch, now the lamp looks terrible, but the day before the couch came in the lamp looked fine, ha!

They have this really nifty opaque "stained glass" look film. It allows light to come in, but keeps peepers out.

You may want to do glass etching, which will give you a permanent design, or you can always replays the clear class with frosted glass, in using either one of these options will mean that you need to address the window sill and trim to make sure water doesn't collect. Another option would be to make a window panel curtain, which has been covered with fuseable vinyl (this can be found at a fabric store).

I used a vinyle film purchased at Amazon. You cut to size, wipe glass with a soapy water and smooth out air bubbles. It comes in several patterns. Mine has been up for two years, no problems and is located in the shower area. If I want to remove it, just pull off, no adhesve.

On line, they sell wood plantation slat shades in many colors and shades of wood tone, any custom size, a couple days delivery, and they have faux H2O proof ones that you can't tell the difference from natural wood, great look and under $50 delivered to your door. I was very pleased with mine in the shower and used the natural wood ones in the living room and you could not tell the difference even to the touch. No problem in shower with water or mildew, nothing but daily elegance, privacy and/or light.

In the past I have used a 'spray' paint that gives the look and privacy of a frosted glass window.I do believe it is removable by using some sort of solvent should you decide to change it up. I will be doing this again, because the home that we just moved into, has a window in the shower. Not much else seems practical.

@Creativity is Great I'm assuming your window isn't under any kind of warranty...some of the suggestions, including mine, can void some warranties. I wasn't even able to put cling film on my sidelights. If your window is, you might want to check with the company first.

Frosted contact paper. It's easy to remove if you get tired of it.
