Stenciled Noel Planter Basket With Free Stencil Giveaway!

It's another challenge! This time, we are all making holiday home decor projects using stencils from the holiday line at Cutting Edge Stencils. I decided to make a festive planter basket using a inexpensive basket, ribbon, and the Noel stencil.
I love having plants in my home and those that can stay alive long enough deserve a bit of holiday decor. I decided to try stenciling a festive look to a Target dollar section basket I purchased this Summer.
The woven basket is pretty simple. I think we can amp it up for the holidays!
To keep the basket from shifting, I used clamps to hold the basket shut and tape underneath as well as the sides of the stencil.
I used a stencil brush to apply the paint. I was very careful at the start of the basket and unfortunately my hand slipped a bit when I got to the "N." No worries, you can always use a paint brush to fill in any spots.
I added a bold black and white striped ribbon to accent the red color of the stenciled basket. Plus, its a great contrast to the green color of my plant.
Add some pinecones to seal the deal. Just to note, I have a planter dish inside of the basket. If you are using a real plant, be sure to keep that in mind. You don't want water seeping through the basket.
This planter basket makes a great gift for neighbors or a hostess gift too! My noel planter basket is a great addition to my garage entryway shelf.
I couldn't resist adding more pinecones. My home is filled with pinecones this season. You can see my two home tours on my blog as well.
