Repurposed Wooden Blind

in the process of renovating a century old house. the wall behind the back door had seen better days.
the wall before, complete with hole. the plaster is the original plaster and whilst i didnt want to replace it, i also wanted to add some kind of surface that was tougher than the plaster because it is in such a high traffic area.
i pulled a wooden venetian blind apart and nailed the slats to the wall. it toughens the wall up for traffic and is a lot more appealing than a plain old painted wall

    That looks great but what did you do about the cord holes in the blinds, I don't see any?

    i picked this blind up for two dollars from and auction...so not expensive

    will be adding a nice door stop when i can something, currently im using an old iron shoe last.
