How can I hang a wreath on a stacked stone surface? Ideas?

You can try command hooks by three m, double sided tape. I know at one point there were hooks available for this but have not seen them in awhile.

Don't know your particular stone situation but Lowes sells different sized wood dowels for @$1.50 each and you could easily find a size to sit inside a joint and cut it to a length that would work for your sized wreath. And, since it's wedged in, it won't leave any evidence or damage. Of course, don't know if it's a heavy wreath, so it would depend on the wreath really.

I'm with Anne. Use a dowel wedged into the stacked stone. Or you could wedge a large (long) nail in between the stones.

Patti in Rice Lake, WI I wiggle long screws into a space where it will fit and not break any stones. So far over the years I find the right spots so wreaths are centered, and on one side of the fireplace I have three wreaths. When I need to change decorations I relocate the wiggled in screws, same principle as the dowels.

I have wrought iron trivets hanging on my stacked stone fire place..I took longish screws and wedged them between the joints. It has worked beautifully and the screws are not noticeable.

If the hole is a little large, insert toothpicks first and then screw in your screw.

They do make hangers for brick, that grip the piece of brick without having to make holes.

depending on how heavy the wreath is, put a tiny screw into the stone at the top, where the stone meets the ceiling or wall. paint the end the color of your stone. hang the wreath with fishing line (will not show). Use the same screw to hang other season decorations. No one will see the screw and the fishing line is tiny, so it will be invisible. I do this for my guest room doors except I use a flat thumb tack, attach fishing string and tie to the wreath. it works wonderfully and no holes in the door!
