Found this ?gorgeous? 1930's wallpaper hiding under a layer of more recent wallpaper when doing some DIY on the bedroom walls of our old house in London. I doubt that this design will ever be popular again...

    i have a house that was built in 1925,we gutted the kitchen when i took down the double dry wall it was wallpapered with the original wall paper. i just cut the drywall with wall paper attached and now i am going to frame it..some of the paper is beautiful

    @Miriam: I don't think we want to preserve this paper as it is quite a dark brown which wouldn't suit the room. Will be looking for a more suitable paint colour from Farrow&Ball instead, they have a fantastic range. @Lynne: some old wallpapers are beautiful indeed. Would you perhaps like to share a photo of your old walpaper? Shame the guys that decorated our house 90 years ago didn't have much sense of style!
