How to Fake an Expensive-Looking Shelf for Under $50

I had you at Expensive-Looking didn't I? Who doesn't love a great project that looks so much more expensive and time consuming than what it really is. We needed a 10' shelf but the problem is that 1) I could not find any that long and 2) the ones I did find were quite pricey. I knew what I wanted, it was just a matter of figuring out the right lengths, mouldings, etc. I am so happy with how it turned out, and also know that I would have paid much more than $50 had I purchased it. I have included step-by-step pictures of how we created this {cheap} Expensive-Looking Storage Shelf.
This is the shelf we created with some basic pine boards and some random trim moulding.
This shelf is located in our new Laundry/Pantry Room.
I found inexpensive linen baskets at Kmart and used chalkboard labels to mark the contents.
