Home Office Makeover & DIY X Base Desk

When we first moved in our home, I jumped the gun on decorating the office. A few years later, I realized the room didn't represent our family. After brightening up the walls, tweaking the furniture, & accessorizing, the room finally feels like "us"! I decided to brighten the bookcases by painting them white.
We removed the original "L" shaped desk & converted it to an "X" base desk. It now sits in front of the window, making the room feel bigger.
The pattern on the DIY memo board behind the computer helps break up the white on the bookcases.
Removing the "L" shaped desk gave us three extra shelves in the bookcases. Ikea boxes store craft supplies on once hard-to-reach shelving.
The room before. The "L" shaped desk was removed & made into a stand alone desk. The DIY information is here: http://designedtodwell.blogspot.com/2013/05/diy-x-base-desk.html

Just brilliant, love the final results. I think this could be a dope WHF hub. I wanna try to create something similar in 3d. Do you mind if I do that?
