    @Becky from Practips very good tip. Any children's hospital will tell you that they treat many youngsters for burns due to this hazard, especially older model ovens. They also treat many due to burns from gas fireplaces. Always good to have a barrier in front of them to keep the tots away. Thanks for raising awareness from posting :)

    I think putting a colored tape perimeter on the floor around the oven, and training the toddler not to go in that perimeter would go a long way in protecting them from pulling pans off the top and getting scalding burns in the face, arms or body.
