Sewing machine problems

Shari on Dec 17, 2015Double check to make sure the machine is threaded correctly and recheck the bobbin. If that is all okay, you may have a tiny piece of thread stuck inside the bobbin compartment, somewhere that isn't really obvious. Brush or blow the compartment out. Finally, make sure your needle isn't broken. My eyesight isn't as sharp as it once was and I've actually had a broken needle and didn't even realize it right away.Helpful Reply

Opal on Dec 18, 2015Also make sure your needle is correct for your machine, that is installed correctly and not bent. I agree with Shari, that you could have something in the bobbin casing or thereabouts, I once had an old broken off needle stuck in the undercasing area.Helpful Reply

Tracy Evans on Dec 21, 2015The needle could also be really dull or have a flat tip (from hitting a pin as you sew). That flattened needle tip will make the sound of hitting something too.Helpful Reply

Marcia Seevers on Dec 21, 2015Change the needle. Check threading, mine has ahabit of coming off the upper looper. If that doesn't work, I would take it to the shop for adjustment.Helpful Reply
