DIY Vintage Decor

I have been pulling items around the house and buying a few more from the local recycle store in order to decorate for my daughter's wedding, the fun thing is learning ways I can continue to display them at home or in the garden when the wedding is over.
We have been collecting interesting plates and pillars to display cakes/cake pops on. These will later make fun lifts for vignettes or hold up a potted plant.
Shutters for backdrops will have many possible uses, over windows or on the wall. Perhaps even lining the back of a curio or hutch.
I always have my vintage typewriter on display along wit suitcases, Seeing them in a display helps me to visualize new ways to move them around the house.
I love galvanized items. This trio will be filled with faux flowers made from coffee filters, but we know what they can look like out in the garden filled with beautiful blooms!
Old doors! Nothing beats the slam of a screen door and it screams simple country life. I use this one as a back drop and it will be a focal point in the wedding.
Our photo booth...will become a welcome coat rack at my daughters house, at least the chalk board door. I may leave the other two in tact as a wall piece or split them and turn one into a garden table.
Oh to welcome Spring with blooms in a wire basket!
Aisle runners hang waiting to be displayed but again, wont they be lovely greeting someone as they come to your door.
An old antique lamp, still in working order, We are going to use this for the unity candle, adjustments were made to protect the electrical parts, hot glue adheres the insulators and plate so all can quickly be removed to restore light
The light with a coat of paint, I even love the idea of keeping it a candle stand!
