Pottery Barn Inspired Bud Vase From Ornaments, Magazine Rack, & Straws

I was challenged to create a home decor DIY project using 6 ornaments, a magazine rack, and straws this month for the challenge. After much thinking, I came up with this Pottery Barn Inspired Bud Vase which is great for the holidays or a
We started with these 3 plain items (6 clear ornaments, a pack of plain white straws, and a wooden magazine rack) and I am stunned by the different projects we all constructed.
First, the magazine rack was spray painted black to match the Pottery Barn inspiration bud vase. I also sprayed 5 of the plastic straws.
After the straws were dry, I used floral wire to thread each one to make a railing for the bud vases that would be on the bottom rack.
Tie each end of the wire to the rack. It's very hard to see the wires, but you could spray paint the wire beforehand should you desire.
The rack looked a bit dark, so I added some studs to brighten each side of the rack. It also adds a bit of glam, right?
Remove all the top hanging wires from the ornaments.
I snipped some fresh greenery from my pine tree and roses from my garden to add to the bud vase ornaments.
Line up 4 ornaments to the top rack and the remaining two on the bottom. Use the straw rail to hold the bottom ornaments in place.
Add some gold bells and more fresh greenery for a holiday look that can last through the New Year. Just change out the florals for a seasonal looks!
