Creative DIY Cutout Rug

Make a fun DIY rug for less than $10 and 30 minutes!
Our master bedroom closet floor is cold cold cold. Chilly cold. My little feet do not enjoy it. And I keep forgetting to put something in there until winter comes along.
Being on a tight budget requires creative decor thinking all right. I picked up a 3'x6' piece of indoor/outdoor carpet for less than $10. Once home I drew up a design on the back with chalk. Let your imagination run free! Be sure to come read all the details about this and so many other fun projects over on my blog, Flipping the Flip at humboldtartdept.blogspot.com!
I drew up the design in such a way so that all the parts were connected, touching in some manner so that even with cutouts, it will still be one connected piece. Use a sharp pair of heavy duty scissors!
My piece of carpet had no anti-slip material on the reverse side so I cut a few hunks of non-slip pad and stitched them on. Be sure to not stitch through the front side.
And there we have it! So super easy! A creative, one of a kind, unique rug in less than 30 minutes for cheap! Come on by the blog by clicking the link below to see this and lots lots more!

I would like to put this on outdoor (covered) porch...do you think it could be laundered without falling into a million pieces?? (in case my naughty pups decide to "christen" it??

I would think this would be hazardous to walk on, would get your foot hung in the gaps.??It is pretty though and unusual.
