5 Piece Dining Set

What can I say about this project?
A seemingly simple refinishing.... turns into hours and hours of sanding, stripping, drummelling, chiselling, swearing, crying, more stripping, sand blasting, and rebuilding.
After years of use and many layers of paint, this beautifully handmade oak set was sadly cast aside to rot and mould over. Intricately carved chairs proved to be stubborn, tricky, and time consuming.
In the end, the client was extatic to finish the bold red pattern seating, and sit at the same table that her late mother did, years before.

Very rough, painted multiple times, deep mould, and in need of serious repair... what did I get myself into?!
These chairs... oh my. So complicated and intricate.

The finished project. Everyone was happy in the end, and very glad that it found its home.

Shawn ,what a fantastic feat with all the intricate details. I will never understand a person who demands( post in all caps) telling anyone they are wrong on a projec even if we think they are. When any of us has been commissioned by a client their wish is our command. That is another point concerning her comment if she had actually read the details she would have known it was a project for someone else. Purple with green polka dots, our reply yes mam or sir.
