Just pulled some 'Red Majestic' Contorted off a west coast truck about an hour ago! MM and some beautiful Yellow Twig Dogwood! I was so disappointed that

the Continus 'Golden Spirit' didn't make it on this truck.

I guess I have to admit that I don't have to do anything in my yard in the winter. It doesn't look great, as pretty much everything is dormant, but it's sure low-maintenance.

You are so right erica, Beauty doesn't go away with the seasons, it only changes form.

I will check my sources for the Magnolia Erica. The Red Majestic Contorted Filbert leaf is the eye candy on this one. It starts out with a deep purple in the spring...fades to a reddish green as summer progresses then has a burnt burgundy fall color. I don't know if the color makes it seem more crinkly on the leaf, but the ribs seem to be more pronounced than on the Green leaf.

Like that I just picked a bouquet of daffodils (ahead of the deep freeze forecast) and a handful of cabbage and kale leaves from my "ornamental" veggies. Crazy GA winter!

Sounds like a good combination Joel. I also like the fragrance of Mahonia flowers at this time of year .

I love my Hellebore's and have just finished pruning back the old leaves. I have a number of different colors, including one that opens pure white and then turns chartreuse. Lovely.
