Pool Location Too Close For Comfort with TRD

Met this young couple from France a few years back who were very concerned that the house which they loved had one really large safety issue. Now with 5 children all under the age of 7, they made a very wise decision to move the pool to the back of the property where the house was not part of the fencing. In the town we were working in, the code is 6' for pool fencing. Ugh!!!. Well we made the most of it and now a few years later with 7 children the family really enjoys the new patio, gardens and yes new pool. ENJOY

Waste of money?? I think it looks beautiful, safe,up to date and in proper scale to the home rather than the squeezed in look of before. Its not "DUMB" , it was a smart move and I'm sure you will not regret it. Job well done!

Like what you did incorporating the brick into the steps of the patio area. Money doesn't seem to be an issue. Is there a reason why the deck wasn't extended under the door on the right? There are only small steps under it which seem to be out of balance with the size and presence of the door.
