  • Grab 20 of your best friends? Actually condensation is the trick - get them cold & warm back up, that allows the moisture to form behind the label & break up the glue to easily pull them off. Soaking them tends to destroy the label but not break down the glue, though you could try steaming them or that goof be gone

Goo gone works great, however there is a recent post on HT on getting labels off..seems the trick is mainly some sort of oil, or alcohol. the post is worth reading .Please ,do post a picture of the blue bottle border, or you could make a bottle tree. Blue bottles are gorgeous either way!
  • As someone who brews their own beer, I can say first hand that the best way to get paper labels off bottles is water (at any temperature) with a nice dose of "OxyClean". Just toss them in a tub and forget them for a while. All the paper slides off with no gooey stuff left behind. This does not work very well with plastic labeling though.

@Judy Wickens I usually just soak them in hot sudsy water, for stubborn glue a little mayonaise will take it off.

Spray with Goof Off. Let it sit for a few seconds and the label will come right off!

Goo-Gone works like magic. Pick up in the hardware store or even in the grocery store. It has lots of uses.
