DIY Handy Washi Tape / Twine Holder

$5
Easy

Organise your craft cupboard by making this really handy washi tape holder. Its very easy to do all you need is an old broom handle and a scrap piece of wood. If you don't have washi tape you could use it to store twine.

All you need is an old broom handle or curtain pole, a scrap piece of wood and some screws.

First cut your pole into 5 pieces, 3 long and 2 slightly shorter.

Sand your wooden base and screw in five wood screws facing up. 3 screws at the back and 2 at the front.

Drill a hole into the bottom of each pole and then simple screw them onto your base.

To make your holder more attractive you can do what I have done, which is stain your wood all the same colour and spray the tips of the poles copper.

Now simply add washi tape. Not only is it a handy storage solution it makes a great display.

If you don't have loads of washi tape, I'm sure you could find another use for it, such as a twine holder.

The holder sits in my craft cupboard in the picture above. If you want to see how I transformed an ugly cupboard into my lovely cocktail/craft cupboard click here Click here

What a great idea. I am a ribbon hoarder but have to keep in drawers. Not any more!!! Now with a quick look, I can see what I have instead of rifling through drawers. I will mount a large wood shelf in the wall and install all in my craft room. Thanks for a wonderful idea....LOVE LOVE LOVE IT.
