Dollar Store Planter Ideas

Hi everyone, I went to Dollar Tree this morning to get another mesh hamper and I spotted these beauties and decided to plant them. I picked up 3 little girl's purses for a dollar each, and the bonnet for a dollar also. A packet of zinnia seeds was 25 cents, so I had a whole lot of fun for under $5 :) I always think I am finished with my garden, but then another "gemmy" idea shows up! I also took a picture of my strawberries which are surprising me with their flowers already! Crazy good!
Time: 10 Minutes Cost: $4.25 Difficulty: Easy

What a cute idea Robyn. I fear without a better liner they might get soiled after a few waterings. I bet you could find a container at the dollar store that would fit inside them. One without drainage holes that would need rocks in the bottom. I ruined a few baskets a couple years ago because just plastic lining didn't protect them well enough.

Thanks Miriam and Becky. Becky, I thought of putting a margarine container or a yogurt cup inside. Maybe I will have to do that. I will see what happens. It does get roasting here in Phoenix. Thanks for the tip!

You're welcome. Didn't want you to be disappointed like I was after ruining a few of my favorite baskets.
