We're in the process of transforming our kitchen on a budget to fit our style.

We painted cabinets, swapped out hardware, painted walls, installed new granite countertops, new zero radius sink and faucets, marble subway tile backsplash, removed vinyl and luan and opted for distressed bamboo when the old original wood floor didn't match up with the plywood addition, removed a pantry and installed a pot rack and French doors. We still need a stove backsplash, baseboards, DIY kitchen island and a larger refrigerator. This is our forever home and we love the change.

How are your floors holding up in the kitchen. I've heard so many stories of water causing buckling and spots...Afraid to do wood in the kitchen or dining. Also does it scratch easy with dining chairs being moved in and out at the table?

@DIY Show Off Thank you.. I've heard that bamboo is beautiful..I would love to have it in my living area. What I've seen it is pricey. Our living room, dining room, kitchen and master suite are all upstairs. I love wood but I am wondering what would be best as far as liquids, and down stairs noise.
