Updating with Black Paint & Burlap

This $5 craigslist side table needed a quick sanding, a coat of black paint and a little finishing wax. The chair was another simple makeover since the piece was structurally very sound. I did one coat of black paint and distressed to give an aged appearance. I then upholstered with burlap (I folded the fabric in half first so that there was no space between the wide weave of the fabric). I upholstered right over the original fabric because I could feel that it was stuffed with straw (it is a super old chair) and I just didn't want to deal with that.
