My sister designed and created this spice rack as a gift for her boyfriend, but I thought it was so neat I just had to share it. It's an easy DIY project that allows your most used spices to be on display instead of hidden in a cabinet.
She used glass test tubes to hold the spices. I have a lot more information about the size she used, and which size test tubes fit standard wine corks, so if you're interested in creating your own, head on over to the post linked at the bottom of this page.
She first cut out two pieces of thick wood, both measuring the same size. She planned out where the holes would go, staggering the two rows.

    What kind of marker did you use on the test tubes to designate the names of spices? Does the writing stay on the tubes?
