How to Clean Wool Rugs for FREE

15 Minutes
Easy
Do you have any wool rugs that need a cleaning? I started snow cleaning my wool rugs about eight years ago and I have been cleaning my rugs this way ever since. It works wonderfully and is totally FREE. Yay for budget friendly and organic cleaning tips!
The one down side to this cleaning tip is you need SNOW. We don't have any here this year yet but I am sure we will soon. The other downside is your neighbors ( if you have any) MIGHT think you are a little strange jumping up and down outside in the snow:). At least that is what my hubby tells me!
Jump, walk, skip, or hop all over your rug. Even puppies can help:).

Then bring the rug back in and take a nap;). If the snow is really dry the rug won't be damp at all and you can immediately put you furniture back on it. Snow cleaning your rugs can also be really good exercise for you, kids and even puppies :).

Wow. Does this take out light stains etc or is it more of a dusting, refreshening thing? If you have kids and dogs and a hisband you must get spots and stains. I must try this.

could you just put them outside and hope some dear walks across it lol this sounds neat but do you really have to jump and down or do like that lady who does her quilts that way? and just leave them outside maybe hitting them with a broom> just a thought.
