My Hubby Built a Greenhouse

by Nancy L
I've always wanted a greenhouse. So after finding windows on Craigs list my hubby and his buddy got to work.
Doesn't look like much here.
Ahh ! Some rafters, it's taking shape.
The first windows are set .
The vision is coming together now, so excited!
Almost done now.
Now on to the inside. Just goes to show anything is possible . From someone's just came my treasure. Thanks to my husband.

Hey there :) Not sure I missed it scrolling up and down looking for a total cost and where supplies came from??? Very beautiful though!

Wonderful and very useful…just what I’d like!

But I didn’t see what kind of foundation it requires. Do you have an insulated floor? Any electrical (for winter heating) or plumbing (for watering and planting)? And what did he use on the exterior and interior walls (sealer? paint? stain?) I missed some of the details.

I love this green house. I need my husband to build me one. Will the plants live in the winter in zone 5. Also will tropical plants like banana trees live in the greenhouse during the winter in zone 5. Do we need to put windows in the roof to help keep them warm and growing? Please let me know if my plants will be warm enough if we keep the snow off the roof.

    sincerely,

    Tamara Lesley.

    please message me. Thank you.

Here in southern Kentucky, people put in small wood-burning stoves (vented, of course) to keep the greenhouse warm in the winter. Cheaper than electric and dependable if the power goes out due to a winter storm.
