Spring has been a long time coming this year and every spring I feel the urge toadd some bright color into my home decor. But here's a decor confession: Ihave commitment issues when it comes to bright color. It's as if we have alove-hate relationship.

Fresh flowers and fruit. Does it get any simpler?
Throw pillows are a great way to experiment with a color that may be out of your comfort zone without spending a lot of money.
Paint a small accent piece. This sweet little chair was an experiment in Antibes chalk paint. It's the perfect punch of color in my family room and doubles as extra seating in a pinch.
Too much color and pattern can be visually overwhelming, but a bright touch against an otherwise neutral space becomes the star of the show.
Keep as much neutral as possible in the mix so your eye can rest.
Keep focus on one colorful piece. Sometimes one piece of art on the wall or a bright rug is all it takes to inject a punch of color. Imagine this painting in an otherwise neutral room! It will have you longing for a bowl of sorbet.
Decorating doesn't have to be serious. The bright shades of sorbet offer the perfect chance to have some fun sprucing up your home for spring! http://www.target.com/p/mohawk-home-elegant-ikat-area-rug-hot-pink/-/A-14361204#prodSlot=me
