Sew an Easy {Fake} Roman Shade

Window coverings are expensive these days aren't they? Blinds, curtains and other materials can add up fast, so I've taken to making my own curtains, and shades. It's actually very easy if you have some sewing skills, plus you can use any fabric you like! Here's how to make your own {fake} roman shade for a window covering.

Add decorative ribbon.

    I just bought canvas drop cloths and grosgrain ribbon to use for faux Roma's shades in our breakfast room. your tutorial looks like a very good one to guide me. Your finished shade looks really nice. Thanks for the inspiration.
