They are on Hometalk Jerrod! You mention several different aspects, are you totally remodeling your space? If so, you might want to look at general contractors who can pull all of the areas of expertise together for you. Or if you are only doing one area at a time you could probably contract each specific task. Just be sure to ask for that contractor license in the applicable trades! We have a great pool of experts here ready to go to work for you :)

Hometalk is a great place to find quality craftsmen! There are also other resources such as http://www.servicemagic.com or of course http://www.TotalHouseHold.com
  • Hi Jerrod, From the looks of your prior posts your a contractor start up? If your looking for tradesman to round out your new venture start looking here at HomeTalk. Start by connecting to those people who you find interesting and follow your methods of thinking. As you begin to develop relationships with these fine people you will be building your referral and idea book while learning at the same time. There are several people here who like yourself are always looking for work and would be more then willing to help you with your future projects. Although I am in the North East I have made some very valuable alliances that in some cases I have tapped into to assist me in my projects. Hang in there my friend. It takes years to establish a good network of contractors that you can feel comfortable with and that have your ethics as well.

Sometimes I am very obtuse lol Woodbridge...you are spot on probably ...thought he was a homeowner looking for someone for a project... I have to also add though, Caroline that I do not endorse service magic. I have seen not so good contractors listing on there. Just my personal experience and imho.

I would suggest either talking to trade on hometalk, going to a few trades shows, or some trade meetings like NARI and the HBA's host. You can get a sense of the quality and ethics based on their posts on hometalk. PS- it takes years to develop a good list and it always needs to be maintained an updated.

As Yamini said your in the right place just look at the profiles and You can see the work we do.
  • I think you will get a great list on this site and good quality people. Atlhough before this site became available we have actually tried Craiglist. You have to filter thru a great deal of people but you can find a diamond in the rough. Inexpensive as well.

I always talk to the sales people at where I am buying the supplies for the project. They come in contact with local professionals, know who is serious about doing a good job!
