Cream and Gold French Dresser Tutorial, #paintjob

Cream and Gold is one of my favorite finishes for furniture. I love the bit of sophistication even with a distressed look. This piece came out beautifully, especially with a hand painted element from the Graphics Fairy. Here is how to recreate the look...
You will start with a palate of cream and gold. I used Modern Masters Warm Silver and Behr Swiss Coffee.
You will need to prime your piece in a color that is close to the metallic color. Then paint 2 coats of metallic and when dry, cover 90 with 2 coats of your cream or white color.
Choose a design element from the Graphics Fairy or something you have on hand and love. I like to shine mine up using an overhead projector then trace.
I used two metallics for my image. The gold base and a dark gray metallic for low lights.
Coming along...
The finished french dresser, after sanding and adding knobs.
