Kitchens Remodeling

The old kitchen was closed in, leaving the owners of this kitchen separated from their grandchildren while cooking and

playing. The new kitchen is classic, clean and upscale. It opens into the family room and boasts custom storage at kid level. The bone china field tile backsplash with iron gate decos is an understated yet stunning focal point for guests entering the kitchen.

This kitchen was a huge hit with it's owners, and their grandchildren, but what do you think of the muted tones? Calming and chic? Or muted and dull?

So glad you incorporated some texture on the front of the island/ peninsula. Without the bead board, it just looks like a gray block.

You certainly made some HUGE improvements to the style. I bet they love it. Well done!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Jeanette! I think that turned out to be one of the owners' favorite parts of the kitchen, too!

Although I personally prefer a little more color, the use of texture in this kitchen really makes a huge difference. It certainly isn't dull. The choices are not only beautiful today but have a timeless quality as well. These homeowners won't feel its dated five years (or longer).

This change impresses me immensely and the result should be pleasing to the homeowner with its comfortable openness.

    My Opinion:

The less "stuff" that's hung, pasted, magneted and multi-painted, the more inviting the kitchen to be used for it's intended purpose. Guess that's a "guy thing".

Nice current design, but the color is a little too clinical for my tastes. Needs some splash of color in the right places.

We're very honored by the kind compliments & enjoy all the opinions! We definitely agree with the timeless quality to the kitchen, and the ability to spice it up with some semi-permanent accessories (things that can be changed out as your tastes or lifestyle changes)! This kind of remodeling design choice is always smart when you know you're not going to be in a home forever and will wish to sell it. (However, that was not the case with this client. There were no plans to sell!)
